Chocolate Chip Pumpkin Bread

1 3/4 cups all-purpose flour
1 teaspoon baking soda
1/2 teaspoon baking powder
1/2 teaspoon salt
1 teaspoon ground cinnamon
1/2 teaspoon ground nutmeg
1/4 teaspoon ground cloves
3/4 cup sugar
1/2 cup brown sugar, packed
1 cup canned pumpkin puree
2 large eggs
1/2 cup vegetable oil (or melted butter)
1/4 cup milk
1 teaspoon vanilla extract
1 cup chocolate chips (optional)
Directions
- Preheat oven to 350 F (175 C). Grease a 9x5 inch loaf pan.
- In a medium bowl, combine all dry ingredients (except the chocolate chips) and whisk together.
- In a separate bowl, combine all wet ingredients.
- Combine bowls together and add in chocolate chips, stir gently to distribute the chips.
- Pour into the pan.
- Bake for 60 minutes, until tooth pick comes out clean.
- Allow to cool completely before cutting.
