Ingredients

  • 1 lb ground turkey (or beef)

  • 3 medium potatoes

  • 1 small onion

  • 2 Tablespoons butter

  • 1 teaspoon garlic salt

  • 1 small can tomato paste

  • 1 cup frozen peas and carrots

  • 1 can large refrigerated biscuits

Directions

  • Prepare your potatoes and onions: peel and dice potatoes into small bits, do the same for the onion.
  • In an oven proof frying pan, saute the potatoes until softened and slightly browned. Remove potatoes from the pan and set aside.
  • In the hot pan, add your meat and onions. Cook completely until there is no more pink in the meat and the onions have become translucent.
  • Add in the can of tomato past, garlic salt, frozen peas and carrots, and the potatoes that you had set aside. Add additional salt and pepper if needed.
  • Spread the mixture evenly to create a flat surface.
  • Take the biscuits and create a top layer over the mixture. Press them down slightly, they don't need to create a solid layer, they will puff up during cooking to create the solid top.
  • Bake at 400 F for 13-15 minutes, just log enough for the biscuits to brown and cook completely through.
  • Serve immediately.
