This easy-to-make recipe delivers bold, savory flavors in minutes, making it the perfect weeknight dinner or special occasion dish.
Ingredients
Olive oil
1.5 lbs chicken breast (or tenders)
Salt and Pepper
1/2 cup white dry wine (or chicken broth)
1/4 cup prepared pesto sauce
4 tablespoons butter
Directions
- In a large fry pan, heat oil over medium/ high heat.
- Seasoning chicken with salt and pepper and add to the hot pan.
- Cook the chicken until internal temperature reaches 165F and has browned on both sides.
- Remove chicken from pan, and reduce heat to a high simmer.
- Add wine to the pan and use a spatula to remove the brown bits from the pan. (This adds a nice flavor to the sauce)
- Once half of the wine has evaporated, add in pesto and butter. Continue to stir until the butter is melted and all is combined.
- Return chicken to pan, moving around to coat in the sauce.
- Serve immediately.
